Up to 330 Mbps 'Ultra Fast Broadband" without the premium

Ultrafast broadband is here!

Right now a new superfast network is being built. The new G.Fast network that delivers ultrafast broadband speeds of more than 100Mbps allowing businesses to thrive in the global market.

  • Ultrafast speeds of more than 100Mbps will be available to 12 million homes and businesses by the end of 2020

  • 10 million of thoses will be using Gfast technology.

  • There are around 550,000 homes and businesses using fibre of G.Fast, with 100,000 more already ordered the service.

  • G.Fast helps bring ultrafast speeds to largest number of customers in the shortest possible time, with little or no disruption.

How G.fast works

​ The service works in a similar way to existing Fibre-to-the-Cabinet (FTTC), by running a fibre optic cable to the local street cabinet. this is then fitted with an extension 'pod' to house the line cards. After this the service reaches the business via the existing copper cable.

G.fast generally offers two primary service tiers.

  • 160 Mbps Download & 30 Mbps Upload

  • 330 Mbps Download & 50 Mbps Upload

(Service speeds may vary slightly depending on the business location )

Customers who choose to order a G.fast line will be visited by an engineer, who will most likely provide a new Mater Socket and a modem. This can be plugged into an existing router.
