ADSL

Asymmetric Digital Subscriber Line

ADSL and ADSL 2+ broadband is a connection provided over business telephone lines.

ADSL provides a high-quality, reliable connection. The connection can be a cost-effective method to connect with speeds of up to 80Mbps down and up to 20Mbps upstream. If you live far away from your telephone exchange, or if the cable has degraded, then speeds can drop dramatically.

Assured Broadband

Assured Broadband ustilises the copper ADSL line as a specialist broadband product supporting our IP telephone services.

Assured is ideal for small offices wanting to move to a hosted unifided communications platform where FTTC is unavailable.

ASSURED 10 – Up to 10x Simultaneous Calls

FTTC

Fibre to the Cabinet

FTTC is a connectivity technology that is based on a combination of fibre optic cable and copper cable. The fibre optic cable is in place from the local telephone exchange to a distribution point. From this distribution point a standard telephone line based on copper is then used to deliver the broadband connectivity. FTTC comes in 2 variations;

40/10 - 40Mbps Downstream and 10Mbps up

80/20 - 80Mbps Downstream and 20Mbps up

Converged FTTC

Fibre to the Cabinet

Converged FTTC is a part of a standard FTTC connection with all the speeds and features but key to the line is the convergence for voice and data.

Our Converged FTTC Broadband service combines assured voice & high-speed internet access on one FTTC circuit. Assured voice means more concurrent calls and a better call quality.
Integrating voice and data communications on just one circuit means a reduction in costs (compared to buying two separate lines) & the added benefits of a robust service.

Fibre to the Premises

FTTP, also often referred to as Fibre to the Home (FTTH) provides and end to end fibre optic connection the full distance from the exchange to the building and can deliver faster speeds than FTTC as there is no copper section at all.

Download speeds of up to 330Mbps and upstream of up to 30Mbps are available.
